he Premierview Hurler of the Year award for 2006 goes to Eamon Corcoran, who polled the highest number of votes in an open poll on this website.


This is due recognition for Eamon after an outstanding year in the wing-back position for Tipp. The JK Brackens’ player has been a consistent presence on the Tipperary team since he made his championship debut in 1999 and has the capacity to be a significant player for some time to come.


We congratulate Eamon on his selection for this award and hope that it will inspire his to similar level in the year ahead. Congratulations also to all teams, players and management who made such efforts in the Blue and Gold during 2006, most especially our successful minors and under-21s.


We would like to thank John Leahy, Tipperary selector and all-round legend, for making the presentation of the trophy to Eamon.
